Career progression: Barriers and opportunities faced by staff within Diagnostic radiography
Aim and objective
The purpose of the research is to investigate the barriers and opportunities faced by members of staff when it comes to progression within Radiography. Objectives: Evaluate opinions from a range of staff, evaluate the roles of staff as outlined in the four-tier structure (assistant practitioner, practitioner, advanced practitioner and consultant practitioner) as well as the scope of practice, review what opportunities are presented to staff with regards to progression, suggest how staff can overcome barriers to progression.
