This study aimed to explore effective measures that military leaders can use to improve the safety and health of militants and civilian staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.The study involved an in-depth analysis of five peer-reviewed articles with relevant information to answer the research question from the Research Gate database for academic publication and the USA Department of Defence (DOD) database for military publications. Keywords used to guide the search directly related to the research question included; healthcare safety for military and staff, military healthcare management during COVID-19, Military medical staff during COVID 19, and the risk aspect of military staff during COVID-19. As illustrated in Table 2, the results show the main themes that were featured during the analysis of the literature.
Theme (a) generated data about emotional support as an effective method that can be used to mitigate the challenges faced by the medical personnel in the military treatment facilities to reduce their exposure to COVID-19 and preventing the spread of the pandemic. For instance, article 1 of the results suggests that providing emotional support to health workers through testing and psychological assistance can effectively increase the safety and health of medical staff during COVID-19. This theme emerged in articles 1, 2, 4, and 5, representing about 80% of the articles analyzed in this research.
Theme (b), on the other hand, generated data about Monitoring and Support to the health workers to increase their safety and health during the pandemic. For instance, articles 2, and 3 suggest that the health care systems should continuously monitor the reaction and offer psychological support to health workers during the pandemic. This theme emerged in articles 2, and 3, representing about 40% of the articles analyzed in this research.
Theme (C) presented data about critical thinking as a method that can effectively treat COVID-19 patients to prevent the spread of the virus to health workers. Article 1, 3, and 5, for instance, suggests that doctors should critically reason and appraise evidence during patient treatment. This theme appeared in articles 1,3, and 5, representing about 60% of the articles analyzed in this research.
Theme (d), nevertheless, generated data about Reduction in personal contact and social distancing. For instance, in article 1, and 5, the results suggest that testing COVID-19 and reducing exposure through interpersonal contact and social distancing is an effective mitigation measure that military leaders can use to improve the health and safety of militants and civil staff during the era of the COVID-19 pandemic.This theme appeared in articles 1, and 5, representing about 40% of the articles analyzed in this research.
Lastly, theme (e) presented data about the involvement of psychologists, raised awareness, and better education. The results in articles 2, 4, and 5, for instance, suggest that healthcare workers should provide with psychological support systems that facilitate sharing of their experiences with other people. This theme appeared in articles 2,4 and 5, representing about 80% of the articles analyzed in this research. Generally, the authors demonstrate that front line health workers can be given reinforcement teams and provided with regular contact to check their wellbeing at work.
Despite the results described in our research above, this study faced some limitations that included a lack of previous studies in the research question, limited access to information online on COVID-19, conflicts on biased views, and personal issues COVID-19.By closely aligning the research method, design, and keyword search to answer the research question, the limitations were minimized so that they did not significantly affect the results. Also, biases were minimized by following an appropriate data collection process and staying focused on the problem and the purpose of the study.Researchers can use these results as the basis for future studies and research on COVID-19. However, future research on this area should incorporate the collection of data through qualitative interviews and quantitative surveys on COVID-19 patient facilities to help gather more data on the research question.

The findings indicate that patients access social media to advance their knowledge about a medical diagnosis or procedure, emotional support and sharing of experiences with other patients. The results also demonstrate that there exists misleading and inconsistent material that can lack credible sources affecting the care and or treatment of a patient.
