There are 3 parts to this assignment. (I have listed the core references below and uploaded the additional readings. Please use these core references/readings.)
For Part 2 and 3, the professor has not yet released information, so I will provide more information about module references at a later time.
PART 1 (1400 words)
1) What are the main challenges in ethics, responsibility and sustainability (E,R,S) that you need to tackle as a result of this module?
Give appropriate context / background on your organisation. You must focus on this organisation for all three questions rather than analysing a company or a region more generally.
Critically analyse the key concepts of ethics, responsibility and sustainability. Make sure your work is anchored in academic ideas and correctly referenced. You should draw on the module resources and the guided / additional readings.
Use appropriate models from the module to analyse the performance of your organisation in these three key areas. (models of reality or (BiTC Responsible Business Map))
Include the analysis, using appropriate tables or diagrams
Drawing on the analysis, identify the challenges you will tackle on your return and discuss these in the report.
Make sure you look to the future, not the past.
Background: where you are, your organisation name, what do you do, are you large or small, are you looking at whole organisation or the part you are involved with / have influence over.
Then finish introduction by telling how you will answer the question and outline what is to follow (200 words. Write last)
PART 2 (1200 words)
2) Critically explore how far the ideas of leadership (L); partnership (P) and evolving best practice (EBP) could help you address the challenges identified in part 1
You must answer this part of the assessment by building on your answer to part 1. This means you should briefly re-introduce your organisation and the challenges you identified and then focus on applying the current question.
You will need to critically analyse the key concepts of leadership, partnership and evolving best practice. Make sure your ideas are anchored in academic ideas and correctly referenced. You should draw on the module resources and the guided / additional readings.
Make sure that you answer the question ‘how far’ and be explicit about how these ideas may help you address the specific challenges you identified.
PART 3 (1400 words)
3) Critically analyse your experiential learning from the module
Building on the work you have completed for parts 1 and 2,
critically analyse your own experiential learning gained
within the module.
This should include reflection on how your own values and
sense making of E R S has been affected.
Drawing on Kolb’s learning circle make sure you are clear about what will you do differently
because of what you learned at the residency, and why? This
should include how your new practice links with what you
learned from theory / best practice within the class.
Reflect on the models you have used in your assessment and
explain how reflection on these will influence your own
practice and ideas going forward
Make sure you support your work by including numbered
appendices of relevant completed exercises from the module.
Refer to these during your report as required.
